The consumption of fruit-based products is increasing, since consumers are more concerned about eating healthier food. According to Innova Market Insights, UK led the consumption in the western European market with 22.1% of fruit-based products in 2013. Since then, the upward trend has continued.

This is why food manufacturers are, more than ever, offering their health-conscious consumers new fruit-based products. In 2013, almost half of all cereal (47%) and 12.1% of baked goods contained fruit.
