On the morning of 8 November, category 5 Typhoon Haiyan made a direct hit on the Philippines, a densely populated country of 92 million people, devastating areas in 36 provinces.

It was 300 miles across when it struck and one of the most intense tropical storms to ever make landfall anywhere in the world. The massive storm killed more than 5,500 people and affected 11 million.

Those who have survived now need urgent help including emergency shelter, clean water and food.

ITS has pledged to give £1,000 towards their cause through the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC). Mike Bagshaw, owner of ITS said, ‘During this festive season, let’s not forget the unfortunate people who have lost their loved ones and homes in this unprecedented disaster. We hope our contribution will help towards their plight.’
