About Scottish Baker of the Year Awards
The Scottish Bakers was established in 1891 and since then have represented and promoted the interests of the bakery trade in Scotland. They aim to be an integral part of each member’s business by providing support for bakeries of all sizes.

The awards were set up by Scottish Bakers to raise awareness of the bakery industry in Scotland and recognise the skills and expertise of the people involved in this industry.
Customers across Scotland were asked to vote for their favourite bakery ítems in the following categories: morning roll, scone, small cake, savoury, biscuit and bread, scoring each on appearance, freshness, taste and value for money. The top products in each category were then judged by a panel of independent experts.
